Lester Randell Morancie

September 9, 1983 ~ February 18, 2021 (age 37)

Lester was born on September 9, 1983 in the Commonwealth of Dominica to parents Reuben and Odelia Morancie. After leaving Dominica with his family at the age of 5, Lester and his family lived in St Thomas, USVI until the year 1991 when they moved to Philadelphia, PA. Lester and his younger siblings Lisha, Lincon and Leon grew up and attended school in Philadelphia, PA. As a child, Lester enjoyed video games, playing with his siblings and cousins, and spending time with his friends from school. He enjoyed listening to various genres of music and watching movies in his pass time. At a young age, Lester was very fascinated with computers and electronics. He could fix just about anything. After high school, Lester moved to West Virginia to attend Job Corps’ Computer Science program. During his time in West Virginia, Lester became enamored with the city of Charleston and decided he wanted to live there permanently.

Lester became a father in 2010 for the first time to his only daughter, Maleigha. While married, he became a father to three boys: his step-son Desmond, and his biological sons Reuben and Tavon. Lester was a proud father. He was the happiest when he was with his children.

Lester was the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back, the person you would call when you’re in a tough situation or need advice. He was always the voice of reason. Lester could be described as quiet, respectful, calm and composed. He was a caring and generous brother, friend, father, cousin, son, and so much more to many others. He loved hard while he was here and the impact he left on this world will not soon be forgotten.

With love, we send you into the arms of your father in heaven. Rest well Lester.
